Our Kickstarter got FULLY FUNDED!!!

Wow, Dummies.

It’s been a wild ride. Welcome to The Return of DUM DUM Zine.  It’s back because of YOU.
In the midst of Trump, #metoo, and the changing internet landscape, we stopped printing for 2 years…And yet you–dear Dummies–didn’t stop emailing. You kept submitting every single day.

AND WE HAVE HEARD YOUR CALL!

So we are asking for your help to go back into print!  With your help, we want to make Issue No. 6a literary survival kit — and keep print alive IRL and online, enabling DUM DUM Zine to flourish in its goals of ethical, slow media practices in our literary community. Donate now!

DONATE NOW!

Issue No. 6, “Rest & Resist,” submissions are now open!

Issue No. 6: “Rest & Resist” will be a literary survival kit for these dark political times, completed by your submission.

That’s right: our call for submissions is now open, ending on the same day as our Kickstarter campaign!

Part flux-kit, part artist book, the issue is an ode to art as a catalyst for healing. In light of the overwhelming state of affairs we want to explore its ongoing impact; what to carry with you, and what to leave behind. The question we pose is: what do you need to survive?

Made in a limited run and with an upcoming Kickstarter campaign launching on February 26th (stay tuned), our return to print will follow our DuM tradition of changing format with each issue, modeled after survival through the ages. Issue No. 6 will include an eco-friendly plastic-composite cover, deconstructed pages, letterpress, and our signature ephemeral takeaways.

Tell us your boldest, bravest stories. Rewrite the narrative. Or begin your own.

SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:

  • Fiction
  • Letters
  • Essays
  • Non-fiction
  • Micro-fiction
  • Poetry
  • Prose poetry
  • Concrete Poetry
  • Visual art
