ON FOREIGN MUSKS by Michael O’Hara
on foreign musks:
asked for and sought
from deer with tusks
deer with deer tusks
on foreign musks:
I want to hang out where you guys hang out
because somebody took out my musk ball
and split open my stomach and walked off
a ball of strong, thick stinking I keep
I keep below my gut a steaming orb
in autumn time the people take pumpkins
and rip out their intestines with their hands
but in the High Ages they let us walk
through gardens, taking what fell off.
