You may have noticed a bit of an identity shift on our website. We didn’t get a haircut or anything, rather the wonderful Hannah K. Lee came through with an illustration just in time for DUM DUM’s launch party to celebrate the death of summer (photos + videos totally forthcoming, check back tomorrow for some wild footage).

Using a flat surface as a super 3D canvas, Lee spruced up our old black and white masthead by breathing life into plain ol’ letters, channeling inflated balloon animals. It’s yet another instance of some of the synchronicity that’s surprised us while creating this project–us Dummies thought she was invoking squeezed out toothpaste letters, a photo masthead we epically failed at in the beginning of summer. Toothpaste or balloonies, you rule, Hannah.

You can now purchase your very own DUM DUM flare from our STORE for only 1 clam a piece! (Check back for this soon.)

Available now: new design (b+w), old design (b+w, cranberry, cerulean).

Copies of DUM DUM Issue No. 1: $5 a pop.
